I recently started playing minecraft with my 7 year old nephew. Unfortunately, his idea of "teaching" is to take the remote and do it for me haha, which doesn't really work. So I bought this book in hopes that I would be able to learn more about the world of minecraft. It is an extensive source of information and more than I could ask for! I'm pretty sure it listed every potion and every possible thing you can make. Awful, awful, awful! Don't buy this book! Talk about a quickly thrown together book made on the cheap ... there were no pictures and the book was mainly a laundry list of Minecraft terminology with one or two general sentences. For example, when talking about crafting, the author just talks about the materials needed to make the item but doesn't go into how to make it! I'm not sure how anyone would gain mastery of the game reading this book.
This book contains tips not only for the beginners but also for more advanced players. It deals with wide range of things like weapons, monsters and many more. This is a great book for anyone who wants to become better player and enjoy the game even more.
I have always been intrigued by the hype surrounding minecraft, but when I tried it out for the first time I was left very confused. This book has helped me so much as it gives lots of useful tips to get started, and information on potions and building which I found helpful. I have become pretty good now and I'm able to enjoy the game fully.
I adore video games, especially a Minecraft, and I also I love to read about it. I can say this book is absolutely great. I read some book about MInecraft but in this book I found things that I can not find in any other book. If you are beginner in this game, this book can help you a lot in basic things to have more fun. If you are not beginner, you can find good and interesting things that can help you to be better. I recommend this book.

400+ Tips sounds like... wait, are you serious? I did not expect to see all 400 inside. But this book seems to deliver even more.

I have not investigated yet whether the secret codes are available anywhere else. Maybe yes. But I have tried a few of them and it was helpful. It's cool to have all of them at the same place anyway.
The book is a pretty good guide for a beginner. The author did a good job explaining the game in simple easy to understand way. The tips would work best with beginners but I think would also be a great help to non-novice players. I like the approach that the author took in structuring the book. It reads well and has a pretty smooth transition in such that I don't get lost in trying to follow the guide.
I play Minecraft for some time now with my kid and we enjoy it very much. I was looking for something that can explain the game to my nephew and I found this guide. It is a really good guide, the amount of content is impressive and I even found a few things that I didn't know. Minecraft is best when you discover it by yourself, but this book can be of a tremendous help for everyone who is starting out and has no idea how and where.
